Our Company
sustainacraft, Inc is a startup dedicated to conducting due diligence on nature-based carbon credits, with a mission of promoting the circulation of finance into natural capital.
In September 2024, we launched nature.cocraft, a consortium platform that enables companies working on GX (Green Transformation) to efficiently procure high-integrity international carbon credits from multiple project developers.
In 2025, we launched Tracecraft, an optimal procurement design service for corporate supply chains.

Our Working Environment
We operate a hybrid system of in-person and remote work. Those living in the Tokyo area are generally expected to come to the Meguro office about 2–3 days per week. If you live farther away, please feel free to consult with us.
Our Colleagues
Individuals working with us come from diverse backgrounds, including consultants from professional consulting firms and foreign development banks, satellite image analysis specialists at satellite constellation companies, researchers in causal inference, and geographic information visualization specialists. Many of our members hold PhDs in engineering and economics.
Learning Opportunities
Business Development
In our carbon credit–related business, our role is to connect major Japanese companies with trusted carbon-project developers around the world, enabling finance for activities that serve as powerful tools against climate change. To achieve this, we engage in speaking opportunities at high-level climate conferences such as COP, as well as negotiations with government agencies in various countries related to Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. This provides many opportunities to work on an international stage.
For our supply-chain intelligence platform Tracecraft, we are developing services related to the procurement of rare earth metals and conflict minerals; critical resources for EVs, renewable energy, and other industries essential for decarbonisation. These issues are important not only from a decarbonisation perspective but also from the standpoint of economic security. Accordingly, we are advancing service development in collaboration with both the private sector and government agencies.
Technology Development
Our paper, presented in collaboration with the National Institute for Environmental Studies and Hitotsubashi University, won Best Paper at the Climate Change AI Workshop at NeurIPS 2022, a top-level conference on machine learning.
Our strong R&D is a key component of our competitive edge. We also publish a regular Newsletter on approaches and methodologies for forest and soil biomass estimation and project intervention effects.
Job Description
Our company is advancing operational transformation through the use of generative AI in analyzing carbon markets, natural capital, and corporate supply chains. In this role, you will lead the implementation of generative AI within existing service workflows and sales/marketing processes, driving efficiency gains while ensuring quality assurance in highly individualized procedures.
- Building AI Workflows and AI Agents
- Design and operate AI implementation for internal operations (research, proposal document creation, code review, analysis reporting, etc.)
- Rebuilding and streamlining our internal knowledge base based on the use of generative AI
- Sales/marketing efficiency (we currently use HubSpot)

Requirements
Essential qualifications
- The ability to move forward while properly balancing development speed with the risk of accumulating technical debt
- At least 3 years of programming experience with languages such as Python or TypeScript, and experience in team development using platforms like GitHub
- Experience of building AI workflows/agents using Vertex AI, OpenAI Agent Builder, Dify, n8n, and similar tools
- Experience of implementing NotebookLM and integrating with internal knowledge bases
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in software development utilizing tools such as Claude Code and OpenAI Codex, and experience in trial and error to effectively utilize these tools
- Understanding recent technological advancements in improving inference performance with large language models (LLMs)
Compensation & Benefits
- Employment Type: Full-time (6 months probationary period; benefits remain the same during this time)
- Estimated Annual Salary: Approximately JPY 6-12 million + bonus (based on individual and company performance)
- Work Style: Flexible working hours (no core time), hybrid remote and office work style (recommended 2-3 days/week at Meguro office)
- Salary Increase: Once a year (based on individual and company performance)
